Construction Manager (Electrical)

Job Description

Job Title: Construction Manager (Electrical). Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom (also available in Bonnybridge & Cambuslang). Your expertise will drive the development and delivery of innovative electrical projects, ensuring safety and sustainability in our communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Delivery: Manage all phases from development and procurement to construction and closure for major projects.
  • Ensure Compliance: Oversee regulatory compliance with health & safety laws, CDM regulations, and environmental legislation.
  • Commercial Management: Drive and evaluate the administration of project packages, controlling CAPEX risks according to contractual terms.
  • Monitor Outputs: Ensure all health & safety records and operational maintenance data are validated and stored appropriately.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain partners and internal teams to deliver projects effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in electrical works within transmission substations, including planning, construction, and commissioning.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings and manage civil, overhead line (OHL), and cable packages.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, planning, and contract management skills, with knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contract conditions.
  • HR Awareness: Understanding of line management responsibilities and HR processes.
  • Excellent IT skills.  
  • Full UK driving license.  
  • Current five-day SMSTS qualification.
