Environmental Engineer or Geologist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Supporting projects involving site assessment and remediation in accordance with Chapter 62-780, FAC and Miami-Dade County Chapter 24.

- Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historic research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.

- Developing compliance documents and permit applications associated with the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

- Providing litigation support services, including related to hazardous waste and material management.

- Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff mentoring tasks.

Education and Licensure

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)

- Advanced degree in geology or environmental engineering. (preferred)

- Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.) (preferred)

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

- At least 5 years of experience in an environmental consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)

- An outstanding track record for client management and technical leadership. (preferred)

- Project experience involving environmental regulatory compliance, historical research, and environmental assessment. (preferred)

- Experience working on demanding, sophisticated, and legally sensitive projects. (preferred)

- Detailed Federal and California regulatory knowledge, especially RCRA and EPCRA. (preferred)

- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)

- Regular fieldwork and overnight travel. (required)

- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
