Health & Safety Consultant

Job Description

Job Title: Health & Safety Consultant. Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom. As a Health & Safety Consultant, you'll support the development & implementation of health & safety policies across Scottish Power Renewables, aiming for world-class performance in collaboration with employees, contractors, customers, & the public.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to establish & monitor safety controls.
  • Provide leadership & direction to Senior Management & Project Managers.
  • Lead projects to meet operational objectives & performance metrics.
  • Support hazard analysis & technical risk management for projects.
  • Conduct audits for compliance with ISO 45001.
  • Collaborate on renewable technology projects (Solar, Battery Storage, Wind).
  • Assess & evaluate design risks.
  • Facilitate workshops for best-practice exchanges.
  • Support the safe delivery of construction projects from inception to handover.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or significant compensatory experience.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
  • Membership in the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health is desirable.
  • Strong initiative & project management knowledge.
  • Understanding of the value chain & key processes.
  • Ability to influence at all organizational levels & with stakeholders.
  • Practical problem-solving skills for complex challenges.
