Job Description

Job Title: Senior Procurement Consultant. Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom. Join Scottish Power as a Senior Procurement Consultant and play a vital role in enhancing competitive advantage through effective procurement strategies. You will manage complex contracts and contribute to significant cost reductions for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Support: Build strong relationships internally within Scottish Power and with external suppliers, from local SMEs to global partners.
  • Procurement Strategy: Oversee the complete procurement process, including market research, pre-qualification, tendering, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Contract Management: Lead commercial activities during tendering and post-contract phases to ensure high-quality procurement solutions.
  • Diverse Contracts: Tender a variety of contracts across Scottish Power Group, including corporate services and IT contracts related to cybersecurity and OT infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in procurement or commercial contract management, preferably with knowledge of Public/Utilities Procurement Regulations.
  • Procurement Expertise: Strong understanding of tactical and strategic procurement principles, including supplier engagement, tendering, and negotiation.
  • Analytical Skills: Self-driven, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tenders efficiently.
  • Communication: Strong communicator capable of building credibility with stakeholders and delivering results.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
