Mechanical Engineer

Job Description  

Ipsen is seeking a Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineer to design vacuum heat-treating furnaces and related systems. This role involves ensuring designs are safe, cost-effective, and energy-efficient while managing project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development: Create and design vacuum furnaces focusing on safety, cost-efficiency, and ease of maintenance.

Engineering Calculations: Perform necessary calculations to ensure robust engineering design.

Project Management: Maintain project timelines, report status, and estimate time for remaining work.

Research & Analysis: Review customer proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility.

Documentation & Support: Create drawings, bills of material, and provide manufacturing support. Maintain project documentation in compliance with Ipsen and ISO standards.

Field Evaluation: Assess field installations and recommend design modifications to resolve issues.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years in mechanical equipment design or equivalent experience.

Language Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting scientific and technical documents, and effectively presenting information to management and public groups.

Computer Skills: Experience with Autodesk Products (Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault), word processing, spreadsheets, and interfacing with business systems (Syteline).

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.

Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret technical instructions and handle abstract and concrete variables.
