NDT Apprentice

Job Description

Job Title: NDT Apprentice. Location: Immingham, England (Onshore/Offshore Operations). Employment Type: Full-Time. Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products for the offshore energy industry. With expertise across the lifecycle of offshore oilfields, we specialize in ROVs, oilfield maintenance, umbilicals, subsea hardware, tooling, and technology solutions for defense, entertainment, aerospace, renewable energy, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform training in NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework, and structural assemblies.
  • Learn and qualify the most effective NDT techniques.
  • Ensure the work area is safe for NDT activities and perform risk assessments.
  • Inspect within specification parameters and evaluate test results accurately.
  • Create concise reports detailing methods and results of inspections.
  • Meet deadlines efficiently, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Adhere to Oceaneering’s operational procedures, statutory/client requirements, and safety standards.
  • Undertake tasks and projects assigned by management.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Promote environmentally friendly practices and contribute to continuous environmental improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Reside within a 40-minute commute to Immingham, England.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.
  • Valid UK Driving License.
  • Pass a medical examination.
  • GCSE pass in English, Maths, and Science.

Post-Training Qualifications:

  • ASNT certifications in MPI, DPI, Ultrasonics, Radiography, and Hardness Testing.
  • Rope access training, if required.
  • Further training and certifications to support operations.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication and feedback skills.
  • Ability to share and receive constructive feedback.
