Project Manager - Energy

Job Description

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-directed professional with project management experience in consulting or energy & sustainability. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for meeting client objectives, managing budgets, and ensuring high-quality execution. Experience in leading internal project teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary tasks is required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project management activities ensuring scope, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Manage all phases of energy, decarbonization, and sustainability projects.
• Strong knowledge of power grid and electric utilities in New York, New Jersey, and eastern states.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives and client expectations.
• Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Identify opportunities for additional scopes or projects with clients.
• Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage project finances.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, finance, and quality policies.

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6 years of experience managing energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience in delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
• Experience in business development and proposal writing.
• Preferred: Experience in grid modernization, renewable energy, utility programs, or sustainability planning.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Advanced degree and relevant certifications (PMP, CEM, LEED AP) are a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
