R&D Specialist

Job Description

Join Vestas' continuous improvement team to enhance and govern methods and tools for product and process development. Focus on systems engineering, product quality, and process compliance to drive innovation and efficiency in renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support defining and implementing systems engineering.
  • Coach technical areas on product development methods and extract value from standard practices.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for field issues.
  • Collaborate with modules and product groups to monitor product quality and create preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and align strategies for methods and tools.
  • Identify and coordinate metrics to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in product development within mature industries (e.g., automotive, aviation, aerospace).
  • Experience in product development projects and as a quality or technical lead is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the product lifecycle and development processes (e.g., systems engineering, Vee model).
  • General understanding of ISO 9001 and its implications.
  • Familiarity with APIS IQ FMEA or Visure IRQA is valued.
  • Proficient communication skills in English.
